The Louisville Ballet, the State Ballet of Kentucky, produces exceptionally
high quality dance performances for the community and region; brings
innovative new work to the stage and produces the classics with an
equal sense of excitement and energy; provides excellent training
through its School; and grows community understanding of the value
and beauty of dance through educational outreach programs for all
ages. As a partner with the Ballet, you know that new ground will
continue to be broken every day.
The Louisville Ballet thrives through contributions from individuals,
corporations, foundations and government support. Corporate contributions
support the artistic product through sponsorships of the Ballet’s
mainstage productions and performances. Support of the artistic product
is the most critical aspect of funding because without that product,
all of the other work the Company does throughout the season, including
educational outreach to our youth, would not be possible.
Your tax-deductible corporate gift will provide the financial footing
the Ballet needs to continue producing quality work and, perhaps
more importantly, demonstrate the high value you place on the
art of dance, the future of the arts as a whole and the quality
of
life in our great city. Corporate support plays a major role in assisting in the present
and future success of the Company. A gift through this program
makes it possible for the Company to continue to commission new
works from
emerging choreographers such as Adam Hougland, who became Principal
Choreographer in 2004, and to continue producing Company premiers
such as Ben Stevenson’s Four Last Songs and George Balanchine’s
Agon.
In addition, there are other expenses associated with the success
of any dance company that you might not have considered:
