Handbook Highlights

Peek Week

Peek Week & Teacher Appreciation Week is Monday, 2/24 – Saturday, 3/1

Family and friends of our talented students are invited to observe them in class Monday, 2/24 through Saturday, 3/1. This is an excellent opportunity to experience first-hand what your student is learning in class and to support their dedication and hard work! Our instructors will offer interesting insights into their approaches as well as each class level’s unique challenges and goals.

Please remember to silence all electronic devices before entering the studio. Please refrain from taking photographs or videos during class as it is distracting to dancers. If you would like to take pictures of your dancer, you are welcome to gather in the gallery area with classmates before or after class.

Drop Off / Pick Up

Since young children often need to use the restroom or need a parent at a moment’s notice, we would appreciate it if parents could please remain at our studios during classes that are thirty minutes in length.

St. Matthews Location: Parents and guardians will need to walk to the second floor and into our lobby to drop off or pick up their children. All students, regardless of their age and maturity, MUST wait to be picked up by their guardian in the front seating area where our receptionist is located.

Please be punctual when picking up your child after class. Late pick-ups will be charged $10 for any portion of each hour that the parent is late.

For the safety and health of the students, street clothing and shoes must be worn over dance clothes when entering and exiting the building.

Louisville Ballet Update

Louisville Ballet presents La Sylphide

Friday, February 21 at 8 p.m.

Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.

La Slyphide’s human realm of a small Scottish community meets the spiritual realm of the enchanted forest. A winged sylph (fairy) uses her magical charms to lure James away from his fiancée and through an ethereal and blissful world in pursuit of true but unattainable happiness. The first of the major Romantic ballets, La Sylphide holds true to the ideas of the time floating between the extremes of love and loss.

There are still seats left for the production this weekend! Please call 58-DANCE or visit the Louisville Ballet Box Office and purchase your seats today.
