LBS April Update

Handbook Highlight:

Student Evaluation

In addition to comments given by each student’s instructor(s), all students enrolled in the Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced levels will be formally evaluated by the School Director to determine student advancements for the next school-year. The evaluation feedback provides clear goals for our students as they develop their technique and love of dance. Student Evaluations are Monday, April 15th through Saturday, April 27th. Click here for the 2013 Student Evaluation Week Schedule.

Primary Division students (Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet and Beginning Ballet) will also receive a placement letter shortly after the end of the school year. Placement is based on the students’ age and ability as evaluated by their instructor.

Petite Finale

The Petite Finale is a showcase of our youngest students’ achievements. This informal showing gives our students a chance to dress up and dance, allowing them to share what they have learned throughout the year without the stress and anxiety of a traditional “recital”. Three presentations will be made on the final day of the school year, May 11th, at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Please check the 2013 Primary Demonstration Day Schedule to learn your performance time. Tickets for all three performances are on sale now!
