Brown-Forman Nutcracker Children’s Auditions
In keeping with our goal to continually strive for a higher standard of excellence in our School, we are so pleased that LBS students have the privilege of auditioning to be involved with the Louisville Ballet’s production of the Brown-Forman Nutcracker.
Auditions for the Children’s Cast of the Brown-Forman Nutcracker are this Sunday, August 28th at the St. Matthews Studios. For more information, please visit our Nutcracker webpage. The absolute deadline to submit a late application to attend the auditions is Thursday, August 25th. Please visit our website to download the Application Packet to submit to the Downtown Studios. A detailed schedule of audition times is detailed in the packet. Please read it carefully.
Your child must arrive promptly 30 minutes before the designated audition time for the particular role(s) for which they are auditioning. Please check height requirements and measure carefully. Students will be expected to audition for all roles for which they are eligible. Children who are eligible to audition for more than one role and will be auditioning past 11:15 am will be asked to stay in the building to eat lunch. Please send them to the audition with a nutritious and tidy brown bag lunch. Approximate dismissal times and additional information will be posted on the window at St. Matthews Studios, and parents will be called if dancers are released prior to the approximate times. Break a leg!
We are happy to announce that this year’s production will be Thumbelina! Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale, our students will dance the story of a tiny girl who dreams of true love in Amy Delaney’s world premiere ballet.
Rehearsals begin this Saturday, August 27th. Additionally, for your planning purposes, the entire Fall Semester rehearsal schedule is now available! For rehearsal dates and times and more information, please view our Spring Showcase webpage and Spring Showcase Rehearsal Schedule.
If your dancer has not yet registered for Spring Showcase, please click here to register by September 10th!
