Peek Week – Monday, 10/3 – Saturday, 10/8
Family and friends of our talented students are invited to observe them in class Monday, 10/3 through Saturday, 10/8. This is an excellent opportunity to experience first-hand what your student is learning in class and to support their dedication and hard work! Our instructors will be offering interesting insights into their approaches as well as each class level’s unique challenges and goals as we reach the end of the school year.
Please remember to silence all electronic devices before entering the studio. Please refrain from taking photographs or videos during class as it is distracting to dancers. If you would like to take pictures of your dancer, you are welcome to gather in the gallery area with classmates before or after class.
Handbook Highlights: Pick-up / Drop-off Policy
St. Matthews Location: Parents and guardians will need to walk to the second floor and into our lobby to drop off or pick up their children. All students, regardless of their age and maturity, MUST wait to be picked up by their guardian in the front seating area where our receptionist is located.
Since young children often need to use the restroom or need a parent at a moment’s notice, we would appreciate it if parents could please remain at our studios during classes that are thirty minutes in length.
Please be punctual when picking up your child after class. Late pick-ups will be charged $10 for any portion of each hour that the parent is late.
For the safety and health of the students, street clothing and shoes must be worn over dance clothes when entering and exiting the building.
Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble hosts a Not-So-Scary Halloween Costume Party
Louisville Ballet School students and their friends can enjoy an evening of dancing, games, crafts, food and fun! Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 6:00 – 10:00pm at the St. Matthews Studios. Pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided. For details and registration information, please visit our website. We hope you can join us for a spooktacular time!
Students are invited to wear their Halloween Costume to Class! Tuesday, 10/25 – Monday, 10/31
In order to participate, we ask that you bring $1 to benefit PALS or a canned good to donate to Kentucky Harvest (or both!).
When selecting a costume, please be sure that their costume is easy to dance in. They need to be able wear proper footwear and move freely without an increased risk of tripping. Students should wear dance clothing (ballet uniform or whatever color matches their costume) underneath their costume.
Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume to one of their classes. If they only come to class once per week, he or she should wear their costume for their regular class. If they attend more than one class per week, he or she should wear it to their last class of the “costume week”.
If you selected to pay in either 2 or 4 installments each semester, your October installment payment will be deducted this Friday, October 7th from the credit card you provided at registration. If you have any billing questions, please contact Nicole Sikora at email@example.com.
