A working volunteer group of the Louisville Ballet, Partners promotes the Louisville Ballet by assisting in many roles of the Company. An array of opportunities exists under the umbrella of the standing committees:
Audience Development
Duties of this committee include distributing brochures to local businesses, (restaurants, dentists’ offices, etc.), helping with subscription tables at performances and assisting with open rehearsals at the Ballet Studio.
Artist Care
Important areas of concern include coordinating welcome packages for new dancers at the beginning of each season, sending birthday cards to dancers and staff and coordinating monthly snacks at the Studio for dancers and staff.
Boutique
Partners’ members help set up and staff the boutique tables at the Kentucky Center before, after and during intermissions of all performances. They also set up and staff boutiques at the Ballet Studio.
Dressers
Dressers provide wardrobe assistance and dressing help including costume repair/sewing/pressing/washing.
Fundraising
This committee coordinates activities to generate funds for Partners programs (matinee meals, dancers’ parking fees at the Kentucky Center and other dancer needs).
Mailing and Office
Workers assist the Louisville Ballet with mailings as needed.
Matinee Meals
Members coordinate a meal for dancers on performance days when two performances are scheduled.
Programs
This committee works with the Louisville Ballet staff to schedule informative programs in conjunction with regular monthly Partners’ meetings.
Special Events
The Special Events committee helps coordinate food and volunteers for Louisville Ballet cast parties and Choreographers’ Showcase, and plans Partners’ end-of-the-season and holiday dinners.
