CORPS DE BALLET

Originally from Detroit, Mich., Deonté began his training at the age of 15 with Gwinnet Ballet in Atlanta, Ga. He continued his training at the Rock School under Bo and Stephanie Spassoff and then went on to the South Carolina Governor’s School, where he trained for two years under Stanislav Issav. He spent his senior year on full scholarship at Houston Ballet under Claudio Muñoz and Lazarus Carreno. He received full scholarships to attend various summer programs, including the Rock School, Carolina Ballet Theater, Miami City Ballet, Chautauqua Institute, Harid Conservatory, Juilliard and Orlando Ballet. His repertoire includes lead roles and pas de deux in Les Sylphides, La Fille Mal Gardée, Le Corsaire, Flames of Paris, Raymonda, Theme and Variation and Paquita.
