Mónica Muñoz

 
 

Apprentice

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mónica returns for her third season with the Louisville Ballet. Prior to joining the Company, she danced with Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, dancing roles in Serenade, Swan Lake, Giselle, Coppélia, Don Quixote and Les Sylphides. In 2005, she joined Milwaukee Ballet II, performing in Michael Pink’s Dracula, Swan Lake and Kathryn Posin’s Scheherazade. Since joining the Louisville Ballet, Mónica has performed in Domy Reiter-Soffer’s Beauty and the Beast, The Brown-Forman Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Graham Lustig’s Between Stillness and Paul Taylor’s Company B. Her teachers include, Carlota Carrera, Sylvia Marichal, Maria Carrera and Lourdes Gómez.
