The Louisville Ballet offers dance lovers an intimate first look at thirteen new pieces with its Choreographers’ Showcase. This annual event focuses on work created and danced by the artists of the Louisville Ballet.
Choreographers’ Showcase encompasses all types of dance from ballet to modern set to music from classical to pop. This year’s program also features the world premiere of a one-act ballet, Sansei, by Company Principal Mikelle Bruzina set to music composed by Ben Sollee.
The thirteen choreographers on this year’s program include Bruzina, Robert Dunbar, Ashley Thursby, Helen Daigle, Tawnee Thompson, Morgan Hulen, Pete Lay, John Cartwright, Benjamin Needham-Wood, Brian Grant, Joseph Nygren Cox, Phillip Velinov and Monica Munoz.
