Let’s Go Crazy at Thunder

LEO Weekly and The Louisville Ballet have teamed up for a Derby Season kick-off party
that should not only seal the deal on your Thunder Over Louisville plans but will also help
raise money for the Louisville Ballet. Let’s Go Crazy at Thunder is an all-evening event
(for guests 21 and over) taking place at the Louisville Ballet (315 E. Main St.),
in the heart of Thunder festivities.
The party starts at 6 p.m. with a bourbon tasting and opportunities to mingle
inside with some of your favorite locals from LEO and the Ballet.
In the studio, the Ballet will host a party for the grand unveiling of NFocus Magazine.
Outside, you can enjoy complimentary food from Carrabba’s Italian Grill, an open bar,
and live music from Chico Fellini and The Pass.
Let’s Go Crazy at Thunder allows you to enjoy North America’s largest annual fireworks
display from an unobstructed view, without having to fight the herds of people or
dealing with trying to find a restroom.
After the fireworks (and here is where the title becomes relevant) Louisville’s own Wax Fang
will perform Prince’s Purple Rain in its entirety following the fireworks.
Tickets to this incredible thunder party are only $75 per person and are available
on-line through Friday, April 23rd @ midnight. Tickets may be purchased at the door
beginning @ 5 pm on Thunder Day (if available).
Please note that that this event will continue rain or shine.
Tickets purchased seven (7) business days or more prior to the event will be mailed. Tickets purchased after this time will be held in will call at the event site. Patron must show photo identification and credit card used for transaction in order to retrieve tickets at will call.
