My husband and I have been Louisville Ballet subscribers for many years. We attended last night's Choreographers' howcase and I have to share with you my husbands comments. He attends the ballet because I enjoy it but he has been pretty lukewarm in his appreciation up till last night. We're not that knowlegable about ballet nuances, I just enjoy the dance, the music and the tremendous athletic ability of your dancers. But last night, for the first time, my husband "got it". He had never appreciated dance but last night saw for the first time, up close, the ability of the dancer's bodies to transmit emotion and tell a story. He couldn't stop talking about Erica De La O standing on that rock and her facial expressions and body language telling such a strong message. Gave me goosebumps to hear him talk about it. You just created another raving fan. Last night was fabulous! We loved Bound to Be, the 11:11 was fantastic, Pulse FLow and Shiva, they were all exceptional. What a great talented group you have. Hats off to all of you. And thank you for finally making my other half appreciate ballet. Love you guys!
