Amanda Rollins

Amanda Rollins of Louisville, KY began her dance training at The Louisville Ballet School as a member of the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble. Amanda then attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA earning a BA in Dance with a Minor in Sociology. While attending Mercyhurst, Amanda was a company member with Lake Erie Ballet from 2006-2009 where she performed leading roles in The Nutcracker and contemporary works.

Following graduation Amanda was an apprentice dancer with Ballet Theater of Maryland for the 2009-2010 season. Amanda then returned to Louisville and began dancing with Moving Collective in 2010 and took on the role of co-producer and board treasurer from 2011-2017. She began teaching in 2011 at various local studios before becoming the Assistant Director of Dance at Sacred Heart School for the Arts in 2013. While at SHSA, Amanda choreographed multiple new works, re-staged many classical ballets, created SHSA’s Inclusive Dance Program, and presented a sensory friendly performance of The Nutcracker.

Amanda is currently the Administration Coordinator at The Louisville Ballet School as well as an instructor in the Classical Ballet program.
