Brienne Wiltsie Keehner

Brienne Wiltsie Keehner grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She spent her high school years training with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and also spent a season in their graduate program.  In 2005, Brienne was offered a job with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and spent two years as a company member there. While dancing with PBT, she particularly loved performing in Balanchine’s Who Cares, Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, and her all-time favorite classical ballet, Swan Lake. Brienne then spent two years teaching in PBT’s school before moving to Kentucky to perform with the Louisville Ballet for two seasons (2009-11). Brienne enjoyed every moment of performing classics (Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppelia) with Louisville Ballet, as well as dancing in Val Caniparoli’s Brown-Forman Nutcracker and The Seasons.

Brienne returned to the stage as a member of Louisville Ballet in the company’s 2018-19 season! This is Brienne’s 8th year of teaching in The Louisville Ballet School, and she is honored to serve as the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble Program Manager and Ballet Mistress.  In addition to teaching and rehearsing with the Pre-Professional students of the School.
