Brienne Wiltsie
Brienne Wiltsie grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She spent her high school years training with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and also spent a season in their graduate program. In 2005, Brienne was offered a job with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and spent two years as a company member there. While dancing with PBT, she particularly loved performing in Balanchine’s Who Cares, Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, and her all-time favorite classical ballet, Swan Lake. Brienne then spent two years teaching in PBT’s school before moving to Kentucky to perform with the Louisville Ballet for two seasons (2009-11). Brienne enjoyed every moment of performing classics (Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppelia) with Louisville Ballet, as well as dancing in Val Caniparoli’s Brown-Forman Nutcracker and The Seasons.
Brienne returned to the stage as a member of Louisville Ballet in the company’s 2018-19 season! This is Brienne’s 8th year of teaching in The Louisville Ballet School, and she is honored to serve as the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble Program Manager and Ballet Mistress.
