Jessica Stone

Jessica Stone began dancing at the age of 3.  She first performed with the Louisville Ballet in children’s roles in The Nutcracker.  From ages 13-16, Jessica trained under Helen Starr at the Louisville Ballet School (LBS) and was a member of the Louisville Ballet Civic Company.  During that time, Jessica performed Corps de Ballet roles in Louisville Ballet productions including Giselle, Don Quixote, and Serenade. Jessica spent summers training in New York City at American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive program.  She also attended summer intensives at The Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet and Vail International Dance Festival. At 16, Jessica moved to Carlisle, PA to attend Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet year-round ballet program while finishing high school.  While studying at the University of Louisville, Jessica returned to dance with Louisville Ballet. In 2005, Jessica’s choreography was selected to be performed by the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble (LBYE) at the Regional Dance America Festival (SERBA). Jessica received her BA in 2006.  In 2007, Jessica moved to San Diego, CA to attend California Western School of Law. While earning her JD, Jessica performed with City Ballet of San Diego. Jessica returned to Louisville in 2012 and has since taught in all of the divisions at LBS. She teaches ballet technique, pointe, variations, yoga, and barre.  Jessica choreographed several ballets for the LBYE and the higher Classical Ballet levels. When Jessica is not at the studio, she is a prosecuting attorney for Jefferson County and a mom of two young boys, Colton and Clark.
