Kristine Orms, Director of Education

Kristine Orms has a love for and history with Louisville Ballet. She danced with the Louisville Ballet Civic Company under Alun Jones & Helen Starr and served as a member of the corps de ballet for Louisville Ballet productions. She attended Indiana University as a Ballet major studying under Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Virginia & Jacques Cesbron, although she ultimately changed her academic path receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Environmental Affairs.

Kristine brings over 20 years of business experience in the fields of customer service, operations management, financial services, marketing and human resources.

Kristine joined the staff of Louisville Ballet in 2014, serving in the roles of School Administrator and Company Manager before assuming her current role as Director of Education in 2017. Kristine is responsible for overseeing the operations of The Louisville Ballet School and the Louisville Ballet Studio Company ensuring excellence and relevance in the organization’s dance education efforts. Working closely with the Artistic & Executive Director, Board of Trustees and the Louisville Ballet Leadership Team, she is tasked with shaping and maintaining the business of education programs, creating sustainability and driving strategic goals.
