Spring Dance Festival Class Catalog
The Louisville Ballet School’s Spring Dance Festival is an annual, end-of-year performance that celebrates students from all of our programs. Students in the Classical Ballet Program and Pre-Professional Program have the opportunity to perform within a story ballet created specifically for our students. The story ballet performance requires weekly rehearsals throughout the Fall and Spring Semesters. Students enrolled in Classical Ballet IV and up may enroll a story ballet rehearsal to attend in addition to their weekly classes, starting in the Fall Semester. Students enrolled in Classical Ballet I – III may enroll in a story ballet rehearsal to attend in addition to their weekly classes, starting in the Spring Semester. Rehearsal schedules may vary and grow in length later in the Spring Semester in preparation for production week.

Classical Ballet VI-IX Repertoire
Upper Classical Ballet Program students (levels VI – IX) who register for Classical Ballet Repertoire will perform two works during the 2023-2024 school year. Performances include LBYE Fall Showcase in the fall semester and Spring Collection as part of Spring Dance Festival in the spring semester. Please note, the registration deadline for CB Repertoire performance opportunity differs from other Spring Dance Festival deadlines due to choreography for this piece beginning early during the Fall Semester with weekly rehearsals.

Classical Ballet IV – IX receive a $20 discount on their Story Ballet Rehearsal registration if enrolled on or before August 28, 2023.

Spring Collection
Students who are enrolled in a Complementary Program offering (i.e. Modern, Jazz, Tap, etc) have the additional opportunity to perform in Spring Collection. This performance piece will begin during the Spring Semester and will be rehearsed during their elective class time. Additional rehearsals may be schedule outside of regular class time in preparation for production week.
Spring Collection Registration Deadline: January 12, 2024 ($90 Fee)
Complementary Program students receive a $15 discount on their Spring Collection registration if enrolled on or before January 1, 2024.
Students enrolled in both the Story Ballet and Spring Collection will have their Spring Collection fee waived.

Petite Finale
Petite Finale is a showcase of our youngest students’ achievements. This informal showing gives our Creative Movement 1, Creative Movement 2, & Pre-Ballet students of the Children’s Program a performance experience, allowing them to share what they have learned throughout the year without the stress and anxiety of a traditional recital.
Petite Finale Registration Deadline: March 31, 2024
Petite Finale Fee: Complimentary! Family and friends of our Petite Finale performers will be responsible for paying a ticket fee to attend, but no performance fee will be assessed. At least one parent per dancer is required to escort the dancer within the theater and will need to purchase a ticket for entry.
