Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with staff and with external agencies as appropriate, the Finance Manager is responsible for the Louisville Ballet’s day-to-day financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Serve as primarily liaison with external financial advisors, accountants, and auditors

  • Manage banking accounts and maintain banking relationships

  • Validate and process bi-weekly payroll, deductions, leave time, etc.

  • Monitor and administer employee benefits, health, life and other benefits

  • Ensure that W-2’s and employee notifications are provided to employees

  • Provide 1099 documents to contract labor and IRS

  • Oversee worker’s compensation and unemployment issues

  • Assist in assessing financial procedures and communicating these across the organization

  • Assist in reporting for grants, loans, and external agencies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

  • Demonstrated financial management and accounting skills

  • Ability to work effectively and accurately on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred) or similar accounting system

  • Experience using ADP Workforce (preferred) or similar payroll system

  • Experience in the non-profit sector preferred

  • Professional designation preferred

Full-time Salaried / Exempt

Salary Range

$48,000–60,000, depending on qualifications and experience
