A native of Japan (Saitama), Ryo Suzuki joined Louisville Ballet as a Company Artist in 2019. While in high school, Suzuki trained with Houston Ballet Ⅱ. He then danced professionally with Singapore Dance Theatre, New Jersey Ballet, and Charlotte Ballet prior to joining Louisville Ballet. His favorite roles since joining the Company include performing as The Nutcracker in Val Caniparoli’s The Brown-Forman Nutcracker and Balanchine’s Serenade Waltz movement pas de deux.
