CHORSHOW 2022 moves to the Digital Stage

IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE UPDATE

In light of the recent, alarming rise in COVID-19 infection rates throughout our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person performances of this season’s CHORSHOW, originally scheduled for January 12-16, 2022 inside our Main Street studios.

This decision was made because the health and safety of our patrons, artists, and staff is our highest priority. But that doesn’t mean we’re cancelling the CHORSHOW experience.

Louisville Ballet is pleased to announce that we will be moving this intimate, innovative production to the digital stage.

Here are the digital CHORSHOW details to date:

KERTIS Creative – the team behind our 2020/2021 digital Season of Illumination – will partner with us to film this production in our studios. We know that the choreographers and artists involved in this production will create something powerful and memorable; we look forward to being able to share it with you soon, no matter where you are.

Our CHORSHOW digital ticket on-sale date and purchasing details are coming soon. At this time we plan to release CHORSHOW in mid-February. Specific viewing dates will be released as soon as they are final.

The artists and staff members of Louisville Ballet are committed to the collective work required to mitigate the spread of this virus. We are grateful this season to have danced every performance of our beloved community favorite, The Brown-Forman Nutcracker. Our commitment to health and safety protocols has been key to this success, and we’re especially grateful that this Company has been willing to do the work required to make in-person performances possible.

At this time, we have no plans to cancel any additional upcoming spring in-person performances. We believe that making the decision to move CHORSHOW to a digital platform now is key to more thrilling live performances in the very near future.

We look forward to connecting with our patrons soon. We can’t thank our audiences, donors, and community enough for your ongoing support.
