ANNOUNCEMENTS

A few reminders for you all as we move into our final studio rehearsal days and prepare to move into the theater:

  • Please check and double check all rehearsal start times for this weekend and next week. It is detrimental to the studio rehearsals if children arrive late and beginning December 6th if your child is late and you do not communicate with the Cast leads your child’s cast partner will be called to fill in. If your child’s cast partner is called to fill in, the cast partner will go on.
  •  Please familiarize yourself with the Drop off and Pick up schedules for the theater.  While being late is problematic when we move to the Kentucky Center we cannot allow you in early either. There is simply no room for Parents and children to wait before each drop off window.
  • Children must come underdressed for all rehearsals and performances. Meaning they must have pants and a top over their tights and leotards or shirts. Please do not send your child in through the cold without a layer of clothing over their dance clothes. Zip up hoodies and sweatpants are a great option for easy  on and off and not messing up hair.
  • Beginning Monday December 6th and continuing through December 23rd, if your child is ill or is going to miss rehearsal or a performance you need to contact your child’s cast partner to fill in for them. If you arrange to have the cast partner fill in for a performance ahead of time please let me know so that I can make sure the chaperones know which child will be at the theater and so that I can let the box office know for Program information. IF your child is sick and you need to call in the cast partner please refer to the SICK POLICY for who and in what order you should make notifications.
  • Also beginning December 6th and continuing through December 23rd all cast members are “On Call” till half an hour before every performance begins. This means that your child should be ready to come into the theater if  called in at the last minute. If something happens and your child’s cast partner cannot make it, we could call you up to half an hour before the performance starts. Please have your “Go Bag” at the ready (any bag that includes all items your child might need for the performance) and be familiar with the entire Performance schedule so that you are able to fill in should we need you. Murphy’s Law would say if you are all ready we won’t need you and I hope it is so!

Be on the lookout for the “Weekly Reminders” email from the Children’s Cast Volunteer Team (Cast Coordinator Nicole Williams, Red Cast Lead Jennifer Young and Green Cast Lead Celeste Seadler) for other great reminders and information. If you do not see an  email from them by Friday, reach out to me (Helen Daigle) and I will make sure you do not miss out on any information.
