Position: Communications & Ticketing Associate
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Box Office Manager

Louisville Ballet is seeking a Communications + Ticketing Associate to join an award-winning team with one of the strongest brands in Louisville.

The Ticketing & Communications Associate is the primary point of contact for outstanding patron service providing a high quality experience for all patrons from initial contact through the building of an ongoing relationship. This position is responsible for ticket processing, handling, distribution, reconciliation and documentation; all internal and external communications, including press and sales; subscription assistance and more. This position collaborates with all departments to build beneficial relationships with patrons, volunteers and community members to positively impact attendance at performances, to expand subscriptions and donations, and to increase community engagement.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ticketing (60%)

  • Maintaining and modelling a superior level of customer service for all patrons
  • Executing ticketing processes via Tessitura ticketing software for all performances
  • Updating show information sheets and folders
  • Processing internal ticket requests
  • Accounting daily receipts, deposits, and cash transactions
  • Tracking and reporting sales goals and analyzing data trends
  • Supports patrons with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) needs
  • Managing subscribers and benefits
  • Working the box office for 1 hour before every performance

Communications (40%)

  • In conjunction with marketing, preparing communications materials, including patron solicitations through print and digital media
  • Segmenting patrons and populating lists for marketing purposes
  • Tracking and reporting public relations activity
  • Distributing media kits; coordinating with and scheduling press

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Marketing, Communication, Arts Administration, Business, etc.) or combination of commensurate experience and education
  • Experience in cash handling and/or accounting
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office with advanced abilities in Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to analyze data, willingness to learn Google Analytics
  • High levels of emotional intelligence: be aware of, control and effectively express emotions, both your own and those of others
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and goals with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented environment while remaining positive and releasing frustrations in an appropriate manner

PREFERRED ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, ticketing software, CRM/database software
  • Experience with WordPress and Constant Contact or similar platforms
