Louisville Ballet is pleased to offer virtual programming to enhance students’ overall educational experience and support high quality arts programming for schools and community partners throughout the Greater Louisville area and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Movement Programs

Dancing Mathematicians: Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Students will explore arts integration as they dance their way through word problems and investigate place value. Educators will receive access to the 25 minute Dancing Mathematicians video along with extension activities, support materials and behind the scenes information about Louisville Ballet.

FEE: $150 per classroom (up to 30 students per class)
Virtual Workshop (30 – 45 minute experience)

Mighty Movers: Preschool & Kindergarten
Young learners explore their world through movement and play while developing language acquisition, sensory awareness, self-confidence, and building a strong foundation for life-long learning. Educators will receive an e-book with five days of lessons, including follow-along videos and movement activities.

FEE: $400 per classroom (up to 30 students per class)
5 Virtual Lessons (60 minutes each)

Exploring Movement: 1st through 8th Grade
Students learn how to create, perform, and respond to various styles of movement in this week-long program that incorporates creative, social and folk dances. Educators will receive an e-book with five days of lessons, including follow-along videos and movement activities.

FEE: $400 per classroom (up to 30 students per class)
5 Virtual lessons (60 minutes each)

At Louisville Ballet, we believe dance is for everyone, and we are ready to be creative to ensure that everyone has access to explore dance and ballet in a way that works best for them. Let’s work together to create an experience tailored just for you!

Performance Programs

I AM Project: 9th through 12th Grade
I AM, choreographed by Louisville Ballet Artist Brandon Ragland, explores race and identity through dance, spoken word, music and cinematography. The I AM Project includes access to the 30 minute dance art film of the ballet and an in-depth online study guide for students to further investigate themes presented in the film.

FEE: $250 per classroom (up to 30 students per class)
Virtual Performance + Study Guide (60 – 90 minute experience)

Moving Stories: Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Go on a journey into the world of dance with our Moving Stories program. This virtual experience combines a performance and movement workshop into a comprehensive arts adventure. Educators will receive 5-days of viewing access for the performance as well as a Resource Guide with lesson plans, movement activities and more!

FEE: $250 per classroom (up to 30 students per class)
Virtual Performance + Digital Dance Workshop (60 – 75 minute experience)

The Brown-Forman Nutcracker: ALL AGES
Enjoy Acts I and II of Louisville Ballet’s holiday classic, The Brown-Forman Nutcracker, choreographed by Val Caniparoli. Students will delight in joining Marie’s journey from the holiday party to the Land of Sweets. Educators will receive 5-day viewing access to the performance. Additionally, a study guide with background information and historical details will be provided to enhance the experience for students.

FEE: $5 per student (minimum 10 students)
