Ballet Bound

Louisville Ballet believes that all children should be able to receive high quality dance education and training. Ballet Bound is an initiative of Louisville Ballet providing young dancers from all across Greater Louisville the opportunity to study classical ballet free of charge in a professional setting. Ballet Bound is a pathway into the world of ballet, helping students receive scholarships to The Louisville Ballet School and Louisville Ballet Studio Company, eventually leading to a career in dance.

BALLET BOUND SUMMER AUDITION TOUR

Each summer, in partnership with Olmsted Parks, Louisville Ballet hosts the Ballet Bound Summer Audition Tour to identify approximately 20 dancers for the Ballet Bound Community Class. Auditions  open to all children ages 7-9 (by August 1).

BALLET BOUND SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

There are multiple ways to support Ballet Bound and no amount is too small. From tuition, to uniforms and shoes, Louisville Ballet ensures that money is never a barrier for our Ballet Bound students. The cost for one student to complete 10 years of training at The Louisville Ballet School and be ready for a career in dance is over $57,000. Each year, five new students begin that pathway and remain on scholarship until high school graduation.

$50,000 – Annual Lead Ballet Bound Program Sponsor

$15,000 – Sponsor five Continuing Ballet Bound Scholarships

$3,000 – Purchase uniforms for 20 Ballet Bound Students
