The Company

Louisville Ballet, the Official State Ballet of Kentucky, was founded in March 1952 as a civic ballet company. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Leslie Smart and Artistic Directors Mikelle Bruzina and Harald Uwe Kern, we are recognized as one of the most highly-regarded regional ballet companies in the country. Known for its versatility and commitment to new work as well as its core connection to classical ballet, Louisville Ballet embodies the belief that ballet is a living, breathing, and relevant art form.

The Louisville Ballet School

The Louisville Ballet School studios are located at 4121 Shelbyville Rd with additional studios and offices located at 315 E. Main St. The School offers a variety of classes for youth and adults.
