Donna Richards

Donna Richards is a graduate of the Los Angeles School of Performing Arts at UCLA with a BFA in dance performance and choreography. Upon graduation, Donna moved to New York where she lived for 13 years. She first danced with a modern company and then transitioned into musical theatre. She has performed and toured with various Broadway productions such as “Chicago,”“Cabaret,” “Sweet Charity,” “Pippin,” “West Side Story,” “A Chorus Line,” “42nd Street,” “Oklahoma,” and “Showboat”. While living in New York, Donna taught for various dance studios in the area including Steps, Broadway Dance Center, and David Howard.

She has studied and obtained teaching certificates in RAD, Vaganova, and Progressive Ballet Technique. Besides nurturing young artists, Donna is actively involved in creating site base choreography that supports the science and raises the awareness of climate change and environmental issues. She considers it a pleasure to be a part of The Louisville Ballet Faculty.
